Fast Break originated as a club in the mid 1990's under the direction of Mike Saigeon.
The club operated in the El Dorado Hills, Folsom, and East Sacramento areas as a
means of teaching young people from the ages of 6-17 years of age the game of
basketball. This was done through clinics, camps, leagues, open gyms, and
organized age-level teams that competed in regional and national YBOA tournaments.

In 2002, Terry Battenberg took over Fast Break as a business name and expanded
into publishing and consulting, as well as the original offerings of personal training,
